Modesty stripovi 2/2

Modesty stripovi” is the sister company to “Modesty Comics”. It is a publishing company in Serbia, with books in Serbian language, with four editions – domestic comics after 1990, foreign comics after 1990, domestic classics and domestic critiques and monographs. The first published book, in 2011, partially in English, was The Comics We Loved - Selection of 20th Century Comics and Creators from the Region of Former Yugoslavia (Stripovi koje smo voleli), which is a critical lexicon on 314 pages, presenting about 200 artists, 200 script writers and 400 comics. Each comics is presented with one page of the comics, bibliography and selected reviews.

 

This book was awarded as the best publishing achievement of the year at the “Book Fair” in Belgrade, in 2011. The "Modesty stripovi" publishing has also won the award for the best publisher of foreign comics at “International Comics Festival – Salon Stripa” in Belgrade, in 2013.
